FIVE WAYS
This garden, large for Brighton, required a complete redesign.
We situated the new patio at the back of the garden to catch the afternoon sun and surrounded it in pleached Hornbeams. Once they fill out they will create a formal and yet cosy containment to this entertaining space.
We used grey Indian sandstone to link up the rest of the house including the new garden office.
On the opposite side we used classical Victorian garden tiles to create a curved naturalistic bed to balance the contemporary shapes created by the path.
Two noble sentinels, made from Hornbeam, watch over the garden, day and night.
Testimonial from Sue Rees, Brighton
“Andrew carried out a project to redesign our garden, transforming it from a tired and unkempt city garden into a beautiful space that we look forward to spending time in. Right from the design phase, through overseeing the construction and planting out, he has paid close attention to our requirements and preferences, taking care of every small detail that often gets overlooked on projects of this size. We really liked the fact that he stayed very patient while we took our time deciding on plant types, colours and layout, offering lots of suggestions and assistance to novice gardeners like ourselves. We can’t wait to spend the summer days enjoying our new garden and especially seeing the new shrubs and trees mature over the years.”
