There are many government funding schemes available for: creating a woodland, capturing carbon from your woodland and building a woodland around the High Speed 2 (HS2) railway.
These funding schemes are supported by the Forestry Commission and DEFRA (The Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs). There are also support grants available from the Woodlands Trust.
Applications come with some limitations for example, they are time consuming and you are restricted in the amount of open space you can have within your woodland.
