LOG PILES:

A log pile is an easy way to encourage wildlife into your garden. It is a valuable habitat and food source for many smaller creatures, repurposing already dead or fallen branches or logs. They can also add a natural and rustic feel to a garden. 

Log piles particularly benefit beetles and other flying insects, which in the last 20 years, have declined by 60%. It is important to create ideal spaces for these insects to encourage their presence in our British wildlife as they are key to many ecosystems.
