My client had some lovely plant choices and plant combination ideas and together we designed these borders with a ‘Theatrical style’ in mind: bold Cannas and tree ferns and bright silver Senecio Angle’s Wings with majestic Eremurus at the back of the border.

I chose some tall Irish Yew to place the four corner beds in exact space, with their strong vertical presence contrasting with the flamboyancy of the rest of the planting, which included Pennisetum viridescens, pink Muely Grass and Rudbekia.
